Once again the time got away from me and I have been negelecting posting! Overall it has been a good week. Wednesday practice went well, had several good attempts one the 13, 130 pole before my legs got too tired. Then hit the weight room for one last day of lower body. Got there with enough time to do 3 sets of front squats, 5 at 160, 4 at 155, and 3 at 150. Then spent the rest of the evening writing a paper for my honors project!
Thursday was a busy day! Last day of both honors and leadership, Then a few more hours on the paper. Followed by a tough practice. One paper the workout did not look hard, 3 x 300 with full recovery. But when running at race pace and still not feeling 100 % healthy it took all I had! Did manage to stay pretty close to the times given though. The range was 45-49 secs. I ran the first in just under 48, then second at 49, and the third at 50.5. Def pleased. Afterward, we hit the weight room for some upper body work.
3 sets of 10 bench at 105 lbs (moving my grip out made it easier! Thanks Michael!)
2 sets of 10 shoulder press at 50 lbs
2 sets of 10 incline press at 50 lbs
2 sets of 10 low rows at 25 lbs
2 sets of 10 NRG pulls at 75 lbs
2 sets of 10 Lat pulls at 75 lbs
Overall a pretty good day. Managed to get my paper all done and printed out. Turned it in friday morning
Last day of class today. Disappointed my radchem prof did not get our tests back, but i will live. Also, pleased to end o chem with a 95 on my last test, especially when I did not study much!
Today's practice was a little more rough. Legs were kind of sore from yesterday and running felt awkward. Could not get a consistent step going from any distance, even my three steps were weird. Coach told me to just call it a day and let the legs rest over the weekend. Then watched my team finish up a round of the circle game. Now its on to a relaxing weekend of studying for finals!
Also very exicited about the Easter packages from Grandma and Grandad and my parents! Looking forward to enjoying them once lent is over! Only two days!
